What are Below Ground Pools?

As the name suggests, below-ground pools are types of pools purposely created, not necessarily below the ground, but in-ground, or ground level.  Hence, below-ground pools are also called inground, in-ground, underground, or in-the-ground pools.  These types of pool serve the same purpose as above-ground pools, that is to serve as a place of relaxation for family members, friends, and other people alike.  Similar to other types of pools, below-ground pools are created for swimming, exercising, and other recreational use.

Below ground pools also have to conform to the requirements as set by government laws.  These pools should have a proper fencing and gates.  It has also been mandated that fences and gates be installed before the actual filling of the pool water.  The pool should also be located in an area which is visibly accessible from the rest of the house. This serves as protection to the people using it, especially the younger children.  Below-ground pools are typically vinyl-lined, concrete or similar material such as shotcrete or gunite, fiberglass, or a plaster variety.
